Does it surprise you that anyone would want to drink something as green as this? I understand, I’ve had the same thoughts…They don’t look very appeasing, but looks can be deceiving.
Now that I have become a green smoothie addict, I feel responsible for helping you see the good in all this green. Green smoothies can be very simple to make and are yummy…yes I said “yummy”!
Simple Green Smoothies
My simple green smoothie is a great way to start your smoothie journey. It’s full of iron, potassium and vitamins. This one tastes like a tropical treat from the goddess island of fruit. So if you are ready to give this smoothie a try—head on over to the Groovy*Smoothie. I have a feeling you will be pleasantly surprised at how tantalizing it is. This is by far my favorite green smoothie especially during the warm summer months.
1/2 cup coconut milk or water
2 cups stemmed and chopped kale or spinach
1 1/2 cups chopped pineapple (about 1/4 medium pineapple)
1 ripe banana, chopped
1 cup mango
Combine the coconut milk, ½ cup water, the kale or spinach, pineapple, mango and banana in a blender and puree until smooth, about 1 minute, adding more water to reach the desired consistency.
